Oh! I saw some really cute ones the other day! Three little kittens and their mommy cat!
[Ah... this is getting off track, isn't it? Will Monika be able to tell how hard she's blushing through the watch, somehow???]
[Once Natsuru opens, she'll see... Monika, for sure. But definitely no cats, kittens, or other related felines. Although, for some reason, her girlfriend will be wearing a hat and her hair seems to be down?]
[Natsuru's clearly already settled in for the evening, having let her own hair down and changed into a simple frilled robe tied at the waist for modesty. Not sure what to expect, she regards Monika curiously.]
Oh... is that a new hat?
[She doesn't wear hats every day, so of course she's going to notice that first. But she looks her over too, wondering if maybe she's wearing or carrying something cat-themed...]
It is, but that's not what the surprise is about, silly.
[She makes her way inside their apartment proper, giving Natsuru a quick "I'm home" kiss.]
I've been thinking about doing this for a while and, well...
[Monika finally decides it's time to reveal the surprise. She takes off the hat and right there in plain sight, on top of her head, are two cat-ears. As if also on queue, a matching tail drops out from underneath her skirt, swaying and swishing. Both appendages are the same color as her hair, and are entirely genuine.]
[Oh! Her eyes go wide, curiously watching the ears atop her girlfriend's head as they twitch. They've both played with illusions before, a little bit. But Natsuru's fae eyes could see right through stuff like that if she chooses. This seems different... and she can't help but reach up to gently touch an ear. Even if she does have to get up a little on her tiptoes to do it...]
Ah-!
[She gasps in surprise when the ear seems as genuine to the touch as it looks. And then, for a brief moment, she can't contain her gushing.]
C-... Cute...
[Her eyes are practically sparkling with amazement as she excitedly clasps her hands together. This is one of those moments where her fae energy just steamrolls right over her otherwise more modest, shy personality.]
Did you learn a new spell?! Or use a potion or something?!
[She can feel Natsuru's fingers brushing and touching the cat ears, which only makes them twitch slightly once again. The additions are fully functional and work just like one would expect.]
It's a potion, actually! They're only temporary, but I really wanted to try it out, you know?
[Monika had wanted to do this for some time, but the time she had become a monster herself had been her principal source of concern and hesitation. Still, the idea just wouldn't leave her mind until she acted on it. After scouting out a few stores, she finally found one that helped set her concerns at ease and... there she was!]
[Natsuru's wings flutter, and she floats a little off the ground so she doesn't have to stretch to feel Monika's hair around the cat ears.]
That's amazing! I didn't know they made potions like this.
[She just keeps gently scritching around those ears, her eyes darting between them and the swishing, swaying tail behind Monika. She just can't help it...]
How do they feel? Is it weird?
[She's really fascinated! She's experimented with her glamours a little here and there, but they only make her seem different to other people. They don't actually change her, much less into something that isn't any particular kind of monster in this place.]
