[In the kitchen she at least has a moment to take a deep breath to calm her racing pulse, take out the tasty drinks and grab a bag of those little itty bitty marshmallows, take another breath, close the microwave door with an elbow, another breath, and head on out.

She makes a beeline for Natsuru and offers her the choice of either cute bunny mug or bear mug! Carefully depositing one mug on the table, she maneuvers the marshmallows out from the crook of her elbow and sets it down as well.]

You aren't boring at all! I'm just happy to spend time with you, y'know? I'm the one who's sorry for not thinking of anything yet. So! No boys, but that's all in due time....anything new?

[Natsuru just goes for the first mug she sees! (The adorable bunny mug, of course.) Just having the drink nearby makes her feel warmer already!

... Part of that might be her blushing at Rahzel's comments about boys. All in due time, huh...?]

Hm... oh! I started my new job recently... Jam-san's restaurant? Cloudberry Jam? I had to work the table at the party this month.

[Just thinking about being stuck out in the winter chill in that uniform sends a shiver through her. Now seems like a good time for a sip of that now-marshmallow-infused cocoa.]

We really need winter uniforms, or something...

[The moment she plops down beside her friend she rests her bear mug on her knees, savoring the comforting warmth of her own cup. And savoring that blush!]

Seriously?! You've got a job now? That's so flippin' awesome! [Bouncing in her seat excitedly] My Nat-chan's a working girl~ Do you guys actually serve jam or other sorts of things too? [Her little girl is coming up in the world :')] How did the table go?

[Eyebrow raise] They don't have you in skimpy stuff, do they? I'll have a talk with your union rep if that's the case. [Is that a warning for her employers in her voice?]

[Try as she might, there's no way Natsuru can hold back a smile at how excited Rahzel is for her.]

Oh... it's a Chinese restaurant, actually! Jam is the boss's name...

[She winces a little at Rahzel's reaction to her comment about the uniforms, and quickly rushes to correct her.]

Oh, no! I mean... it's not any worse than anything else I wear. [Which is a separate issue altogether. But it's still better than the maid uniform she still has lying around.] It's just that it's not really that great in cold weather...

... But the table went fine, other than that. We were mainly looking for some new employees, and giving out samples of Jam-san's cooking.

[Rahzel gets to the Meat of the subject]

Do they have you running around in a nurse outfit? With no tights? And no heating? What the hell are they using that money for, the dumplings?! I'm going to have to have a talk with someone when I come to sample the delicacies and see you.

[She raises the hot chocolate to her lips and takes a much needed sip, her own worries in the back of her mind, dormant, in the face of her friends' contentment.] I'm so happy for you, though. I think it's gonna be a great experience and give you lots of confidence. Plus I bet you get lots of your own free samples, right~?

[Whoa, now, this is getting a little out of hand! ... Though she's actually kind of touched at Rahzel's concern...]

It's okay, really! It's a cute uniform! And the restaurant has plenty of heat, and there's tights, and...

... Well... here.

[She gets her cell phone out of her purse (while momentarily feeling a bit strange at how normal that's become), and turns it to show a picture of herself in the uniform, from the fitting. With the opaque black tights.

As much as she's blushing over showing it, it's better not to let Rahzel get too fired up over what was really more of a complaint about the weather than the uniform itself. And now that they've moved on to the positives, she looks a little more at ease.]

Yeah, Jam-san has me give her opinions on the food sometimes. And she's a really good boss...

[Her eyes widen considerably and there are a few wholesome seconds of silence from Rahzel. That's gotta be worth some sort of record. When she finally does say something it starts as a (delayed) gasp of surprise]

Whooooaaaaaa! That's incredibly sexy, whoawhoawhoa! You're gonna knock someone out with an outfit like that. Your boss really knows the best way to lure customers in. The way to a man's heart is through his stomach and a nice pair of legs in a dress. [At least that's the crap Baroqueheat always spouted....maybe he wasn't wrong (oh god does that mean he's not wrong about other stupid crap???? nono, reality itself is melt-)

She turns a gentle smile on her friend] That's so awesome. What's something you've had there that you'd recommend?

Ah... you really think so?

[Wow, mixed feelings about this! Sure, she knew it was pretty sexy, but compared to things she's been forced into wearing back home... it didn't seem so terrible. Now, she's not so sure...

Still, it was probably meant as a compliment, so...]

Th-thanks...

[Yeah, she's just gonna. Move right on to the next question.]

Well, uh... I haven't really had much yet, but Jam-san makes amazing pork buns. The samples she makes for the welcoming party every month are great, too!

I know so! [Reassuring and compliments are important! It's not that she's shocked, per se, by the dress code, she's just floored by the big leap her friend had made. It puts a big damn smile on her face] You're very welcome.

Hmmm~ Pork buns sound really good. I'm gonna have to order them when I come by some time, eh? She makes samples for the newbies, too? Aww, that's really sweet of her.

Yep, every month!

[This is a much more comfortable subject, yes. She's just settling right in on that couch, sipping her cocoa.]

She says it's good business, and all. ... She's kinda weird sometimes, but she is really nice.

[Pops a marshmallow into her mouth and nods along. That's good business and kindness- newbies spread the good word of the blurb and they're well fed and shown something comfortable after being uprooted like that.]

That's really great. And she's right! It makes people comfortable and comfort rakes in the money. The weirdest people are usually the most fun~

[Natsuru kind of chuckles at that. Rahzel pretty much described the whole reason they hang out right there...]

Yeah, I guess. It's kinda like that in the music group, too.

[Wait, is that really giving the right impression?]

Well... not that Rise-chan's weird, or anything! It's just... I'm not used to that kind of thing. But it's fun...

[SEE? Weird people are irresistible!]

Music group? Musically inclined people are pretty amazing, if not incredibly eccentric.

[Head tilt] Mmm? What do you mean? And is "that kind of thing" fun?

Ah... it's a bit like going out and performing karaoke with friends. We, uh... perform songs, and help each other work on our skills.

[There's no way she can say this that won't make it sound like she's training to be a pop star, is there?]

I never really did anything like that back home, so...

[So that's what she meant.]

OOooh I see, I see! So kinda like a choir or an ensemble for caroling.

[She's nodding and smiling] That does sound like a lot of fun. I'm glad you're having such a good time! Do you guys dance too?

Well, yeah... some of the members are actually idols! Like Rise-chan.

[There's a bit of a pause before she figures it won't do any good trying to hide this part from Rahzel, anyway...]

And, uh... Sayaka-san says she might come up with some routines we can practice together...

Really? That's so cool! Whoa, sooner or later I'm gonna have to watch out, you'll be on the idol train or something! With such cool mentors. I haven't heard of this Rise-chan but it's great you guys are friends.

[Are you kidding you can't hide anything from her for long ok]

Oh yeah~? That'll be awesome and super hip! [She's all grins] You excited to get to work with 'em?

Yeah... I guess so.

[She kind of catches herself by surprise with how affirmative her answer is! She really is kind of having fun with the group, isn't she? (And it's not just because she gets to spend more time with Sayaka Maizono...)]

It's really not a big deal, though! It's not like we really have idols here...

[She means it's not like they really have an entertainment industry. Because clearly, there are idols in Holly Heights.]

[Rahzel's grin grows, she even nudges Natsuru gently by the shoulder, encouragement get!!] That's so awesome. Hey, you never know! You girls could be the hay that breaks the camel's track record. If you guys wanted to, I mean. Just as long as you're enjoying yourself, that's what matters and all that. We'd all just like you to be happy and maybe show us from time to time.
